I don't know how my season will unfold with my limited time off and other commitments, but if an open seat(s) comes up on my rig I'll be looking for good, no BS fishin' buddies.
I'm looking to get out to tuna town as much as I can. Westport will be home base for those tuna runs. Everything has already been said about crew expectations in the posts above, so I won't re-hash. Go hard or stay home...right?
Anyway, the boat is a new 24' NR OS. Twin 140 Zukes and some decent electronics. Taco outriggers just got installed. I'm Quantum and Sufix equipped, hence the stickers on my boat. I prefer to fish my gear but I'm open to techniques that I'm not proficient in.
Me? From the East Coast...Chesapeake, Bawlmer, Stripers, Ocean City, The O's, Blue Fish, Togs, Croakers, etc. Been boating for a few years now. I just completed the US CG AUX Basic Seamanship Class. I'm First Aid and CPR certified. I tend to get sea-sick but I don't let it stop me from fishing....you might have to take the wheel from me, but for god's sake man, do not turn around!
Offshore, I prefer to run in a pack. Going solo that far out is still a bit creepy. I keep my gear in top shape, but you never know what can happen out there.
Have a great season!
GW Out! |

Name: Alan Vessel: 14', canoe, flipper Location: Vancouver, Wa Job:Mechanical Engineer Bio: Just graduated from WSU Vancouver. Hoping to finally get some time to fish before work sets in. |
I am in Vancouver and would love to go out sometime. My outdrive broke and, since I was in school till last week, I had no time or money to fix it (1966 Starcraft 20' aluminum - I loved that old boat). So I sold it about a year ago. Until I get a job, I will have to hitch a ride.
Actually, my brother is out from Colorado and we are taking a charter out of Ilwaco for halibut Monday. First time for me. I have gone after salmon, sturgeon and bottom fishing, but being from Colorado, I don't have too much experience with the fishing around here.
I am ready to help with any work that needs to be done and willing to contribute whatever $$ required.
Thanks in advance for any opportunity that might arise.
Alan

Looking for a ride outta Whidbey. I'm here in Oak Harbor and just wanna get out and fish. If anybodys got a hook up for me, I'm more than game. I'll bring the food and drinks and pitch some for the gas. Hit me up! As always I don't drink when I'm out on the water. So if you need somebody to stay sober enough to talk to the Fish and
Game officers, I'm your guy. Thanks

I fish out of Whidbey as well. I have a 22 ft Hewescraft Searunner and have an empty seat most of the time. Most of my friends don't like the commute to Whidbey to go fishing. Their loss is your gain. PM me and we'll see about getting you on the water!

I live in Port Townsend and have 2 boys that love to fish. Unfortunately I don't own a boat and we seem to catch more kelp than anything. We would love to hook up, if just to bottom fish past the kelp. Will certainly pay our share of gas and expenses. Hey, and if you have any tips on where to take kids fishing that'd be great too!

Hello. Although I have a small boat that I run out at Neah (bucktailing flies for Coho), I'd love to hook up with someone here as a guest for a Tuna trip. I'm originally from PA and spent all the summers of my youth at the Jersey Shore fishing in boats for blues, bottom fish and stripers (a few trips out to the canyons too). I haven't fished gear in years (yes I'm a fly fisherman now at heart but not a snob) but when I was younger all my fishing was done with gear and I know how to rig everything and I frequently take gear guys out on my boat. No problems with any of the rules that have been posted.
The Chicka is usually cool with letting me play on the weekends, so short notice might work unless I've got a trip planned for Neah (not sure how long that will be open). I'll post openings for that as well.
Cheers,
Joe
