First Tuna Goose-egg ever for me on this boat! We pulled her towards home at 1300 and had heard of no other boats with tuna on board when we departed. One boat headed S & W of the CR and has yet to return. Hopefully they have something to report. 5 o6 other boats within radio range today and not one fish! a bit choppy out there as well, but really nice on the inside!

Days like that make me want to just puke.
Better luck next time.
Curious, were did you find yourself today, position wise?

What chance does a common mortal have of catching tuna if the Tunagod Todd comes home empty? Is there the faintest chance we will see anymore tuna this year out of Westport?

46.32N x 125.02W Start / 46.25N x 125.08 end. And around every paddy, log, bird etc. Didn't see a jumper or any marks on the up and down.

Tunahelper and Tunahelper's buddy Scott. Tunahelper's bro bailed at the last second due to the domestic manager put the hurt on him.
At least the boat was easy to clean.

Anyways it was good to get to talk at the dock and we will catch up with you next summer. By the way mabye you can get me the number for that fiberglass repair guy you were telling me about. I was going to join you guys for some tuna slaying at WP, but my deck hand talked me into turning at Montasano and trailering to Ilwaco...We crossed the bar at 0630, headed straight out 45 miles, water temp was 57, tuna were jumping all over the place. Some boats were plugging in an hour, live bait guys. My tuna verginity has been broken, we ended the day with 9 averaging 25 lbs at 2PM, it was a blast. The water was nice and there must of been at least 100 boats out there.
The trip home wasn't as good as the fishing, I had a flat tire on the boat trailer about 2 miles south of Little creek casino, the lock to my spare tire on the trailer was rusted and I couldn't get the spare off. Ended up leaving the boat at some peoples house just down the road and will take bolt cutters and more tools tomorrow to bring her home.....I owe you guys a big thanks for all the tips and info.....

I knew when when Tower Todd radioed that he was heading in I had only two choices: follow him in or head south. I had a new aboard who'd never caught a tuna and he has a big mouth so I couldn't go in skunked. We headed south right down the 125 line. The water hit 59.5 when we crossed 46.15 so we threw out some gear. Slow but we put a couple in the boat. Then we crossed 46.10 and there were boats, birds, porpoises, tuna and even a few whales. Not much happening on the troll but swim baits to tuna boils was good. Lots of radio talk with guys having 10-20 fish live bait stops. Incredible (or was that incredibly long?) ride back to WP with more porpoises, whales and great sunset.
