Angry My boat destroyed on highway :(

My brand new 280 Sundancer was picked up by the dealership, Lake Union SeaRay, for some warranty work and they loaded it on the trailer too ass heavy and the dumbasses lost my boat off the trailer going down highway 20. Over $120k to fix her...she's a total loss. I'm sick. I'm sad. I'M PISSED OFF!! To add salt to the wound, their insurance is refusing to work with me and Lake Union SeaRay is hiding behind their insurance. They've made absolutely zero offer of reconciliation or retribution. They've forced me to pay for the loss with my own insurance and they think they can sell me another one.

Does anyone know a nasty attorney in the marine industry?

I'm not a vengeful person, but I feel like fuckin them up times 10. Wonder how they'd feel if I drove my truck thru their fancy new showroom and said "oh, sorry...but your insurance will cover it."

Man that blows. I feel sorry for you. I'm sure your insurance company has plenty of lawyers running around. I can't see why your insurance co would pay a penny if this is the responsibility of the dealer's insurance. They will haggle it out. If that fails, then call the State Insuruance Commissioner. I don't know if that will help, but it probably would get some action.

Hopefully you have an "agreed value" insurance policy. If so, call them up and tell them to write a check -- they can screw around with the other insurance company, the dealer, etc. You get to go shopping, and in this market you will probably come out ahead.

I'd sue the shit out of evey body and get a new boat out the deal!!! They should be forced to use their insurance to cover the damage they caused!
...jr.

What an absolute NIGHTMARE!

Situations like this sure bring out the best and worst in folks. Hopefully others will take heed and take their business elsewhere. Perhaps you could help enlighten them as well Maybe it will get the process rolling along a bit faster.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!

Rick

they haven't even so much as offered to replace my broken fishing rods, take me for a boat ride, a charter, a blowjob....NOTHING!! I do have the agreed value policy and the check is on the way, but I feel Lake Union SeaRay is gettin away scot free on this. I think I'll start with Problem Solvers on KOMO.

For $120,000 you sure could get an awesome fishing boat instead of that fucked up family cruising thing you used to own.
