| Any San Juan Fisherman on BD?
I love to make a few runs up to the islands in the spring for bottomfish and lings. Spring is great as the large crowds of summer haven't usually shown up yet and the weather can be great.
Anyone else? Maybe a little spring get together / fishing trip is in order for all of us?

Sounds good...I'll bring the Jack. I am going to run swimbaits WWB off my Long riggers for lings.
Seriously though, I hope I have my boat back together by then. i would like to run from Seattle to the San Juans to see what my fuel consumption is. I know a handful of ling spots that produce. Went spearfishing at these spots a couple years ago. I really want to go shrimping to.
Set the date and lets make it happen!

I was just going to ask if anyone was going to start their black mouth season on the first in the San Jauns? But a spring trip would be a blast too. I am eager to meet some BD members then go whack and stack. Like Cornfed, I know a few good ling spots too.
Let me know

Where do you want to stay? Friday Harbor?
Ling Spots:
Peapod Rocks
Clark and Barnes
Clements Reef
Parker Reef
Boundary Buoy
Those are just off the top of my head. I will have to look at my batho.

Friday Harbor is cool, or anchor out in one of the many nice spots in the islands.

Well, If we want to be able to fish for Lings, we need to plan this for after May 1st.

Looking forward to the opener for Blackmouth, but I will be back east on business untill the 3rd. From then on, I will be out on the weekends. We will be fishing the northern part of the San Juans and the Canadian Gulf islands.
We should try to pick a spot on one of the weekends, I am up for anywhere around the Islands for some lings.

I sure would like to try for some nice lings in the San Juans. I will try to get it on the calender for May. I haven't checked the regs yet, but apparently Todd has.

Doug,
The regs haven't been published yet, but May 1st has traditionally been the opener. Doesn't mean that can't change.
