Went to Sascatchewan in late September to pile up the Geese with the Remington SP-10. We killed 101 in four days there. Just got back from South Dakota pheasant hunting. Kind of a tough year there killed plenty of birds with the SxS 28 gauge, and ate tons of Mamas home cookin'!

Hi TT, I love pheasant hunting as much as fishing. Im leaving tomorrow morning to chase some birds around the palooose. I've been shooting a remington1100 simi since 1968 and only had a problem 1 time, I love it. I have also bagged my share of duck and geese with this gun.
Would love to make a trip to SD in the future.

Now, people who have invited me on their boats know that I take pride in my whoring skills. So, if you have room for an extra gun and a pup, please, let me know. I can share my camper, trip costs, provide decoys and miss birds that you then can shoot down. | Nothing like hunting or fishing with a pretty little Bulgarian flower.
Kamen, PM me if you are interested in tagging along for an eastside pheasant trip with the possibility of a steelhead or two thrown in to boot. I expect you would shout "Mine!" for every fallen bird just as fast as you do when a rod goes down.
The pup is fine but sleeping with you. |

Went out last weekend to the Yakima Reservation for some Quail shooting with my Dad and good friend. It was nice to get the dogs out again, and alot of quail this year. Went Pheasant hunting on a private farm in Benton County opening day and slayed them. There was a really good hatch this year and great numbers. I am hoping to go again this weekend, but we will see how that goes after I mention to my wife that I am thinking about going hunting again.
Nothing like a nice early fall day, with the dogs hunting upland game. To me it doesn't get much better!

We got two limits opening day on the Yakima res. and two birds on sunday, then we got three monday morning and 6 quail for the wife and I, like Bo said good hatch lot's "o" birds. One problem we had was very little feel free to hunt this year and our "private" land seemed to be Feel Free to Hunt cause everywhere we went there was a truck in it, but good weekend and my 14 Y/o daughter got her first wild rooster, it was real nice, Erik, Oh we shhot berreta O/U and MY daughter had the 870.

How old is that Springer " I've got a 4 year old that loves to hunt but doesn't like the gun/gunshot. Got her from the Springer Rescue group so some amateur trainer probably scared the poop out of here when she was a pup.
LOVE the springers ...what a great dog.
One gun dog book I have says this about the Springer and pheasant hunting..."The Springer is to the pheasant, what the mongoose is to the snake" ..Can't ask for more than that...

She is a little over two years old now. Your's might still be saved. I would try the kids cap gun at a distance when feeding and very slowly ramp it up. That mongoose thing is right on. It's a kick to see her get on scent and just keep on it till she finds the bird.
