| Riffe Lake info ?
My son wants to camp at Riffe Lake for his birthday. I have been on this lake before, but never have fished it.
I am looking for some info on fishing Riffe Lake in late July. Riffe Lake Fishing

I used to slam the koke's on Riffe lake. We'd generally limit out by 9 or 10 and then go chase steelies on the Cowlitz. For me, I always had the best luck on the eastern most side of the lake just outside of the point directly across from the state camp ground. Some years fish would average up to 14 inches, others maybe 10 inches.
Trolling 2 bladed pop gear with Wedding rings (red) topped with a night crawler was always deadly. Most spoons, lures will work good when they're topped with a worm. I've even landed 3 bass on the troll on Riffe Lake. Nobody ever belives me, all 3 were hooked by my wife. There's a few cutthroat in there too.
Make sure you use rubber snubbers though otherwise you'll cracker fish all day. The kokes have very soft jaws and hit so hard, you'll be reeling up nothing but gums all day.

great camping and boat launch at the Mossyrock park. The lake level should still be up, so your TJ will work great
The fish bite is peaking right now. The fish people think are Kokenee are actually land locked silvers. I absolutely crush them with the size 0 or 00 Dodgers in 50/50 with the mini Hootchies in either pink or glow/green tip the hooks with worm, power grubs or maggots. The fish are usually in the top 20 feet of the water column so you can flatline the flasher back or maybe use a 1/2 oz sinker or drop the DR down 10 feet but run your line back a long ways and use the scotty trout releases.
Drive straight across from the launch to the other shoreline and troll close to shore towards the dam. You should be limited by the time you get to the dam. LIke said above snubbers really help, or just slowly crank them in, or they pull the hooks.
Its a very pretty lake and not many people out fishing!!! You'll love it

I haven't been up this year do to the wind (the wind can blow up or down the lake really bad) and my crew not in the mood for Trout. I normally launch at Mossey Rock and troll across the dam, the cove across from the launch or the 'China Ditch' or behind the island just up from the launch when the wind starts and I'm already fishing. You posted Riffe Lake Fishing this is good info, but you will need to find the depth. It seems that the bigger fish go deeper as the water warms. If you launch at Cosmos, watch out for the shallows straight out from the launch, big stump field (even at full pool), go west to get to the main lake. I need to get up there and fish, good luck!

Have you desided when your going, I think it's time for me to make a run up there and if the crew isn't interested in going, I'll go it alone. If ya let me know your going to be up and where your going to camp, I'll stop by and we can compair gear and how will or not so will tries.
