I'm Shameless

Yes I just had to show off the big fish of the weekend. MA-7 has been darned good since the first. I've managed 6 fish to 29 pounds over the holiday, four hatchery and 2 really nice wild fish.

Started out this morning at Pt. Lawrence and beat it hard for a couple of hours and no love at all...saw one fish taken.

Ran south, thanks to Jay, and picked up this nice buck! It's been a great opener and the nicest 4th in a long time. Gotta say thanks to Ms. Ronzob for the great netting she's been doing!

Forgot to mention.. the Orcas treated us to quite a show in Rosario Strait this ayem...saw a calf breaching repeatedly and a dozen or so adults doing a drive by on the salmon. Quite the morning.

The Purple Haze....Can't believe it but it's done the job for 10 years or so..

I am amazed at the size of these fish.....nothing under 20...feisty little things...
