Area 7 with Goatram

Well we launched at 7am or so, saw the wdfw guy checking a few crabbers. Headed toward Blake Island. John gotta hold of Ron on the way out and we slip into an area neither of us had fished before. Had a couple knock down for nada to start. Caught a few dogs. Got lost(looking for a spot we couldn't find not LOST) John had his trusty chart and we got back on track. Around noon time the weather, fishing and dirt work caught up with John and it was nap time. Later in the afternoon(1:30-2:00????) Got the knock down from hell!!!! Ranae(Ms. fishnazzi) got on the fish she was dreaming of all winter. After a lenghty battle and only one knucklehead running it over with his boat, netted and proper pictures taken. Ranae needed a helping hand to get in 2 pic's. Fished scaled at home at 20lbs 11ozs. On the way home she was planning my time to get the old salmon boat back on the water. So I guess the work on "Little T" will become my focus for a bit. Thank-You John from Ranae and I for a day on the water that made her summer. Thanks for letting us borrow your cooler(mine was way to small) Ranae is bringing it back up today with some fillets.

If any of you have really read this far here is a thought John has run into some "trouble" on a project he is working on at home. I believe that if WE through a bunch of man-power at it we could help him to get it done. I plan on spending some time to help.................I hope that you will to. I don't know when John will be ready but...............I bet he will let you know if you ask. John has been quick to help most everyone if they need it..................Fish gods will smile on you if you throw some labor I bet!!!!

PS Almost forgot the detail.............splatter back behind an army truck flasher in 118 ft bang'in bottom.

PSS Ranae just got home from John's(taking cooler back) and I'll be dammed if he didn't send her home with some of his hard fought to catch halibut and ling cod...............Seems to that his phone and PM box should be blowing up with guys looking to help move dirt!!!

Nice fish!! Did it have a green flasher and a white silver horde spoon hanging out of its mouth? I'm looking for my gear back from our mishap on Friday.

Once again nice fish!

Great report Troy. You're right John is a great guy to have as a friend and always quick to help out, enough ass kissing though... I don't want John to get a big head! I hope to earn my boat ho position back, looks like John has a wandering eye! By the way great pics.

0738 just got off of watch!!! Fuck me this Navy thing is for the birds! Hoping that the schedules don't conflict in the near future. Got the girlfriend and her family showing up on the 24th so I guess we'll see what happens. John it looks to me like you're better at getting on the lings and butts than the sammys!
