Wow, those are some nice looking fish. I finally made it out today and caught one dogfish and a nice sunburn. What a beautiful day to be on the water. I hadn't fished tide point before, man it was like a freeway out there. Boats going everywich way but the same way. Left there went to eagle bluff, then to Parker reef. Went home with an empty cooler, but had a good time with my daughter.

My Dad, Son and I fished Thatcher in the morning and Eagle Bluff afternoon. We lost a real line ripper when the Sampo Quick change split ring pulled apart. We also released a fat little Blackmouth that my son reeled in. It was 21"-22".

Ron, was that you hung up on the shrimp pot? That thing was in a bad spot and I saw another boat hung on it a little earlier.

It sure was a beautiful day on the water!

Yeah. that was me.. lost about 100 feet of downrigger line and both balls....That was a real surprise. Mike tried to get it off the bottom but couldn't budge the darned thing so he got on top of the thing and cut the line. Hopefully that will save the next guy.

The day was not a loss as I boated a nice FAT native about 20# or so. There is nothing like hours old salmon on the BBQ.

Jeff,

Heard some third hand reports of a few fish at Hein Bank. Haven't heard anything about Eagle Point.

As much as I enjoy a boat ride and some different scenery ... I can't make myself drive over these quality fish to go find fish on the outside.

Jay

Managed to get out for a few hours this morning before the 4th of july parade with the family. This team hasnt been together in a while since we have a new son. His first trip was a good one. We ran into some other bloody deckers on the grounds and also landed this pretty gal around 20.

Thumbs up

I hit several spots hard yesterday afternoon and this morning. I finally caught an 18# hen with eggs. She was a hatchery fish and I caught it at Eagle Bluff on cutplug herring. What a day on the water! The weather and water was spectacular!!!

Went 0-fer at Lawrence on Sunday morning.
About 30 boats, saw one net fly. Didn't mark much bait.

Still - spent a beautiful day with an old friend I don't get to see often, good to chill with him in the sun.
A pod of orcas came blasting through southbound at close range.
Never seen them that close, pretty damn cool, but probably explains the scarcity of fish...

Saw ronzob up there, kicking myself for not following him "south"...but time was tight, had to get buddy back to the dock.
