I am an aspiring saltwater fisher and I'd love to join somebody who knows the ropes at Westport or Neah Bay. I will be near Neah Bay from July 28 - August 3rd and woud love to pay for some food/gas/etc in exchange for a ride. I have some gear. Most of my experience in flyfishing rivers.

Thanks!
Jeremy

Ok you fuckers: I have been lurking here for a year and it's time to get a grip and jump in. I moved here from Salem two years ago and am tired of trailering my 20' trophy down to Depoe bay to get long fin blood on it. Short on experience in these waters but have been TUNA fishing for four years. Kinda old, Kinda fat, but can spike, keep the spread untangled and cark like a MFer. Would like to get to know guys in this area and come up with a crew of my own but would also like to Boat Ho a few time to get the westport tuna thing under control. Thanks for being here. Im fishing out of Iwaco in the OTC this weekend but would love to get going here after that. Any advice I could get or if your looking for a boat Ho PM me. Like I said Im also looking for two guys thats not afraid of a 20' boat to chase long fins once this damn north wind quits blowing.

Looking for an open Tuna Seat, this weekend?

Since my kayak can't make it 40 or 50 miles out, I'm looking for an open tuna seat for a tuna run.

I've been out twice over the last two years, once with Phillip and once with Pau Hana, although with Pau Hana only made it 40 miles out before having engine trouble and turning back...

I can pay gas $$, can handle rough seas, and am flexible about where and when, although this weekend would be awesome since I'll already be out on the coast.

Let me know or give me a call atv206-919-5624.

Here's a pic of me eating a live tuna heart, so no one makes me do that again: Click the image to open in full size.

P.S. Sorry for the R.S. hat, I'm a Mariners fan but needed a hat.

Looking to catch some tuna

I spend most of my free fishing time flyfishing in lakes and rivers. But, when the salmon are in the Sound lucky enough to have a buddy that that will take me out on his boat Well that buddy and I have talked about going tuna fishing and heard that it is happening out there right now. So looking at getting out there and came across this site. I should say my Dad found this site, being retired he has way more time to devote to fishing. Looks like you all know what is going on and hoping to get some quick info on what charter to book for catching some tuna. As it seems getting on one of the boats on this thread could take some time??

Figure you all know the best fish to stick ratio charters out there?

So that charters do you all recommend?

Or if someone has a couple of seats open this weekend 8/8-9 for two flyfishers with catch and kill experience. Do we really need to say we will share expenses and such each time we post? I would think that is the defalut on this thread...

Will spend some more time looking at the threads on this site and maybe become worthy enough to go fishing with one of you out there:-) Have to say some of these threads are entertaining.

thanks
Mark

Hi,

I'm new to this forum, found you all on TWITTER. I think this is a great resource and I will definitely post more in the future.

I'm passionate about fish. I love to catch them and also have a deep respect for the ocean. I want to make sure we have plenty for the future generations to catch. As an avid fisherman, I started as a little kid in the Sound fishing with my family for everything under the sun. In Washington, I've fished, crabbed, clammed all over the Sound and Westport, Neah Bay, Ilwaco. I've done all bottom fish with lures and herring. For salmon I've trolled and jigged. I've fished in Alaska for salmon, halibut (180lbs!), lingcod and rock cod. I've gone to Mexico and caught yellowfin (150lbs!), stripped marlin, dorado, roosterfish, etc.

One thing I've never done is gone Albacore fishing in WA! And this year I want to try it. It's my first time with this type of fish in WA (I've fished for yellowfin tuna in Cabo) and I'd like to join your boat if you still have space.

Please let me know if you have any room left on the boat. My name is Jay Sueno and my contact info is jay.sueno@gmail.com.

Thanks!

Jay

Go to the coast 9-1 to 9-4 any open seats

Hi all
I live on the Idaho Washington border. The wife and I are going to be taking a trip to the coast from Aug.31 to Sept 4. Was planing on the west port area but plans are changable .We would love to do some fishing for Salmon and/or tuna. We are both from the mid west and have never done it before. We live close to the Pend Oreille River so we do some pike fishing and go over to the Upper Columbia for Walleye.
Is there anyone out there that has a couple seats open for some novice will be happy to pay share of fuel, ice and help clean boat. Please PM me here

Thank you
Steve

This maybe a bit late for the '09 season, maybe next years trips? My name is Rob Olson, I live in Tacoma and have fished all my life from Hawaii to Alaska and down to Mexico. I recently retired and try to get on the water as often as I can. I am always interested in learning new techniques, new gear and new locations. I am available to go most any day that I am invited and to any WA. location. More than happy to share costs, work and clean up. I do own a 16' Lund that I use in local waters, just sometimes get tired of fishing alone.
Bloodydecks has been a great place for information and I appreciate all the info others post.

I need a forth for a river trip on 10/31 near Forks, WA.

You should plan on spending $200 for the boat/guide/tip and being there by 4AM. We usually meet in town @ the shell station. I will be staying in a cabin for 4 nights near Linedeckers. We are a group of family and close friends that will likely be drinking and smoking our share. meaning no social requirements, just fun slaying jumbo silvers.

pm me if ur interested.
