Monster Puget Sound "Cod" and "Halibut"

Had a killer day fishing the sound. Flat weather, friendly Game and Fish boy's (they were awesome with the kids), outstanding action and "HUGE" fish!

Imagine my panic as I ran for the harpoon only to realize that I pulled it of the boat earlier.... Glad I had the big gaff ...

Final count was kids 4 fish and Dad 3. I lost and sulked for the rest of the day. Kids chose the homemade golf club jigs and I stuck with some other store bought crap.

First real experience getting the kids hooked on fishing... Have to say this ranked right up among the top trips...

Thumbs up

Getting the kids out early is great--way to get them hooked!!

I did this and my oldest was my fishing buddy for years--now he is gone for 2 years down south and I am trying to get my younger son to step in, but football messes with alot of the fishing time.

Here are a few shots of my oldest better successes!! Of coarse I started him at about the same age as your kids (I had a regular camera that long ago) so no young pictures on the computer.

You will hook them for a lifetime!!! Way to go and spend some time with the youth!!

Awesome pics Paul - creating memories ranks far above the nintendo wii and other crap we buy our kids...

I think my 8 yr old is now officially prepared for Neah Bay. I'll count on a couple cabs and lings to make those little arms sore and smiles bigger. And - we are starting things right with center pin mooching reels for salmon!!!
