| New Tuna Fishers: Some Good How To's
I know we have a bunch of newer Albacore Fishermen up here in WA. Here are two really good articles on albacore fishing tactics. I thought you may enjoy reading them and learn some new tricks. I listed a couple sites below that will help everyone become better tuna fishermen. You need to know these things and never stop learning. Just because someone else does it another way, doesn't necessarily mean it is wrong but there are some definitie do's and dont's. Pay attention to detail, fine tune your process, and immerse yourself with repeating the things that bring you success. Talk to the guys here on BD and listen to the guys from socal. They have a lot of good info. If you don't know, then ask. The best thing you could do is come down to Float 5 during the summer. Most of the lessons are learned dockside. We will try to hold a informational seminar this winter if enough people are interested in order to cover these topics for the next tuna year.
Here is one for knots: http://www.animatedknots.com/knotlis...matedknots.com
Here is one on Daisy Chain Theory: http://www.eastcape.org/Articles/Dai...n/article.html
Here's another one on live bait: http://livebaitlarry.com/index.php?m...1k438qackvaem6
Here is one on how to rig swimbaits: http://www.swimbait.com/techniques/rigging.htm
Here is one on tuna basics with swimbaits: http://www.swimbait.com/techniques/tuna.htm
I'm adding this to the "How To's" in the form of 'what NOT to do'. http://www.bloodydecks.com/forums/wa...ait-stops.html
TIGHT LINES!
