Saturday, The Peddler and I are running up to Canada to get our paper license. I was thinking real hard about Westport on Sunday, but the forecast is marginal. So, I may drive back down to Bonneville and kill some more shad for bait...maybe.
Other than that, just chillin' this weekend I guess.

I am thinking about going down for Shad Sat-Sun too. I was thinking I might take one of my kayaks. The weather looks good for the weekend. I might sleep in the bed of my truck. I bet the campgrounds will be full. Didnt seem to be many places to pull off and rest. Especially with the trains all night long.

Saturday: See GreenWasabi's post.
Sunday: Father's Day. Sounds like we'll be entertaining my in-laws.
I was kind-a thinking about either a shad or crab trip (Area 13) next Saturday. (the 21st) Wife's going to a wedding shower.

Did well on shad Tuesday afternoon after finals. Also, hooked and brought an eight foot sturgeon to the shore on a yellow shad dart and eight pound test Cabela's line. Thought I was going to win a popularity contest when it was headed for the line of fishermen below the dam but managed to turn it at the last moment. Did a lot of running on that rock covered shore and was wondering how I was going to release it after I got it to the bank when the hook straightened out. Smoking long runs that nearly emptied the spool twice. Good times.
Caught shad on white, yellow and green darts. Took advice on an earlier post about slow retrieve and it worked like a champ.
Spring break next week. Planning on going to Seiku and going to try shad fillets for halibut and the rest for the crab opener later in the week.
