I wont make the June 14 with my boat. Still in the shop up at Camano Marine. First motor service, Raymarine S1000 Auto pilot and trim tab upgrade of the Bennett to Lenco electric with the indicator. The trim tab is taking a little longer to arrive at the shop.
I am going to try the kayak June 17-19 and launch from Hobuck Beach in Makah Bay.

Marathon run for me, leaving the house friday late night, fishing saturday out of LaPush and heading home as soon as the boat is back on the trailer.

24 hours of good times.

The forecast has changed for the worse. Looks to me like it is going to be a very short period. Wavering on going. I have been beat up a bunch already this year. Not sure I want more. The thing is maybe will be good enough for a early morning run before it gets bad. Not reallyy bad I suppose, just quite uncomfortable. Do others see the same thing?

How did you get the short period? What are you checking? i am looking at this:
U.S. Coastal Waters Forecasts by Zone - West - Seattle, WA

If it is rough on the outside, then stick to the inside. We are going. The weather isn't that bad. There are 13 second periods now and they don't come out with the period until the day prior (at least the data I am checking).

Dave - Is it time for you to get a bigger boat, Just Keep Fishing II?

I guess there is only one way to know for sure... I just hope the period is a little longer than what wetsand is predicting.

Thats what I am looking at is the period spacing. Will be a bit bumpy going out. Ok my BD buddies. We will be there getting the shit kick out of us like the rest of you. I am thinking I wished I drank because I think I will need a drink after this!
