I know where all the CANARY'S went!!!!
So there is a regulation that we are not allowed to keep any CANARY or YELLOWEYE ROCKFISH in the state of Washington. This is the same reason we are not allowed to fish deeper than 120' for the majority of the year. I have been told that the Canary population has been decimated by the commercial trawlers/netters. This is incorrect. I found where they are all at. Apparently the tree hugging hippies at the Seattle Aquarium didn't get the memo that they are NOT allowed to retain Canary rockfish because I would say that the entire Canary population resides at the aquarium. It is actually pretty ridiculous. You should go check it out for yourself.
They really did a nice job refurbishing the acquarium and the first exhibit is a two story tank that is really sweet. Also got to see the diver feed the fish in the DOME. He was getting buzzed by 10lb. to 20 lb. kings. It was awesome to see what happens when the fish depend on a human food source. I would like to feed a king by hand.
But anyhow...yup...thats where they are at.....THE SEATTLE AQUARIUM!
