First November Sammies

Me and ol' Red Hook went out on the Back Pay yesterday down to Onamac Pt off the west side of Camano to chase some sammies.

Started fishing about 9, stopped at 2, hooked 4 fish, released 1 and had more fresh meat for the freezer! We were in about 110' of water, fishing the bottom with white lightning coho killers behind green/glow e-chip flashers, AND trolling against the current about 1.7knots for all 4 hook-ups!

Fished possession, started at 7:30am stopped at 11am, caught two keepers. Had a couple more that were close... saw a few nets and it looked like the fish were not being very discriminating cuz everyone was using something different.

They're my preferred salmon to eat. Very tender, moist and tasty.

Nice job on the fish Hooker. I've heard good reports from numerous locales. Plan to get out and sample some this week.

They are bitter tasting and leave a horrible after taste. I wouldn't bother.

If you guys find yourself in Anacortes the next few months with nothing better to do, look me up and we'll go chase those tasty little bastards on the Back Pay

Thanks for the offer James. Hopefully one of these days we can do some fishing. I have a question though. By what is said under your avatar, are you in Orthopedics? I only ask because I am interested in getting into that field of medicine. Anyway, just thought I would ask.

Thanks again for the offer buddy.

I specialize in assessment, detection and correction of malfunctions in the neuro-musculo-skeletal system, most notably the spine. In other words, I'm a chiropractor

Orthopedics is an awesome field....you'll enjoy it.
