| MAWTC 2008 Banquet Highlites.
Congrats, Tail Party & Getsum, they had an awsome day on Sat to win honors in the MAWTC 2008. Read about their day in the threads posted by them in the California Offshore Fishing Report Forum. Southwestern Yacht Club won Club honors again for the 6th time in a row. Attached pics of the Admiral at work, Southwestern Yacht Club team & the Committee with the check for $291,000+. Seaya!

Sorry guys, Chris from the MAW office has the names /tickets that were drawn, but they weren't yours or mine. The two winners (Defiance / Zodiac) were not present so they are trying to call them.
Thanks to everyone who participated or helped with the event. We exceeded expectations once again. We had over 1000 people show up for the banquet. We had over 120 boats in the tournament. While the weather wasn't exactly the best (Damn NOAA), most were able to catch fish in all categories which made for a fun tournament.
The best news is that we were able to raise $291,000 for our local San Diego Chapter of the Make A Wish Foundation!
Thanks again and see ya next year!
PS.... BLOODY DECKS WILL TAKE THE TROPHY FROM SOUTHWESTERN NEXT YEAR!!!!!

I was hoping to win the Zodiac. It would be perfect for my bass fishing in the bay!!!
May be next year, eventually my luck would change.
Want to thank my coconspirator, Barbara of the Cut Loose, without her organization skill and her forsight, I would be in deep trouble. She is the one in the blue shirt.
Our raffles sale crew are the best. Joe (our calm and thoughful treaurer) really spoiled us with those wireless credit card machine that made our job so easy.
Thank you to all sponsors and participants that made this tournament
Thank you everyone again for supporting the MAW.
Will see you next year.

The winner of the grand prize Defiance is from L.A. and has asked that his name not be published and we honor his request. The second place prize of the Zodiac from Boater's World is Steve Burkholder from San Diego. Congratulations to both of our winners. Thanks to all who participated and donated to Make A Wish.
Sorry for the late posting.

Hey Harry!!.... got a few questions for you. 1ST... are the dates firm for 09 at 9/11
2nd is there a charter division again this year and if so what are the angler entry fees?
I have a charter for the tournament and want to make sure of all the details before I accept deposit.
Thanx
Mike
