New Fishing Trips: Penned Fishing, Guaranteed 300lb Yellowfin... Only in Texas...

The Lone Star
FROM THEIR WEBSITE:

"Why fly thousands of miles to catch a trophy big-game fish - when for most U.S. anglers, that kind of action is now just a short flight away? All you need is a day!

Why risk hearing "You should have been here last week" - when our guarantee of great fishing every day of every week means simply, no trophy, no charge!

Why plan on 50- or 70-mile runs offshore to get to the fishing grounds - when we bring the fishing grounds to you?

Why worry about spending long hours trolling in hopes of finding fish - when you can be sure of having fish right there the moment the skipper calls, "Line in"?

If you're ready to battle monster marlin, huge yellowfin and giant bluefin tuna, scores of sailfish and more, it's time to book a day at the Lone Star Bluewater Fishing Ranch.

Located just off the Texas coast, the first fishing ranch of its kind anywhere in the world emulates the success of the finest big-game hunting ranches.

How It Works

Lone Star BFR variously catches and purchases healthy big-game fish from all over the North Atlantic, Caribbean and beyond, then releases them into separate species pens to grow even bigger until they're ready to be caught.

Two days before your scheduled fishing day, we remove several individual fish of whatever species you've contracted to catch (our pens operate like advanced purse seines to facilitate this). Then, we transport them to a smaller pen to which you're shuttled immediately by boat or helicopter when you arrive. There, your big-game boat with captain and crew awaits - as do several huge fish, all hungry and looking to eat!

Does it get any better?"

Prices start at $3,800....

MY VIEWPOINT:

Amazing..... what's next hunting in the local zoo??

I am interested in Josh's view on this, especially since he is a stong avocate of the SD Fleet......

Ok, got my popcorn, let's get this party started.

By the way, Happy late April Fools......

I'm starting a cow hunting farm so you can take your kid down and point to a big one and say there's a good one son, shoot em. There is a reason we don't hunt cows there is no challenge in it. Wait a minute I just noticed.... ok ok... Anyway someone will probably actually do this someday and a bunch of dumb asses will show up with check books in hand haaahahaha

I guess you would not need spectra backing fishing in a pen that is 100 feet deep...no thanks.

Very similar to a internet hunting operation that tried to get off the ground in Texas. From the comfort of your home or office keyboard anywhere in the world you could hunt live animals and actually kill them using a tripod mounted gun that was controlled from your computer. Yep, pan, aim, zoom in and fire on an animal tied to a stake in the ground...very, very sporting.

Obviously that concept never got off the ground...

if they ever did attempt this it would only be the rich guppy that would go out and do it just so that he could try to associate with those of us who would still be doing it the "hard way"...either that or the asian market would buy it outright their own food farm system
