Welcome aboard Adam! What part of galv do you fish out of?
Caught this 42inch, 29lbs frieght train at seabrook a couple weeks ago on my trout tackle. She was released and still out there!

awesome fish man! its been a while since ive seen that great of a fish come out of seabrook! where about were you? i live in clear lake so i fish everywhere in that area including seabrook. in galveston ill fish just about anywhere, but the pass is my favorite because there arent a bunch of wild kids running around. later this week ill be buying a kayak so i can explore more of the bay side instead of only the surfside.

But the best thing about being in Galveston is- PV is 2 hours away, the Bahamas and Costa Rica are 4 hours away!
Great Site.

These are some pics from one of the best days I've had offshore Galveston (actually we were out of Freeport).

It was slick calm and the water was deep blue at 40 miles offshore. We found a great weed patch and started catching kingfish and dorado.

Out of the blue, we hooked into a wahoo...which was the first wahoo this boat had ever caught in 15 years of fishing the area (the captain usually fishes 20-50 miles offshore, which is too close for wahoo on most days).

We caught two wahoo and lost a third:

This is a shot of one of the wahoo in the weeds....what a day it was with the slick calm, deep blue water!
