just got back today, we left after we had the 9000 lbs and thought it would be a quick 4 day trip 2 in and out and 2 fishing. we spent 4 days on a sea mountain with nothing but tiny rats. we heard thru another bot that there were pilot whales out there for a few days prior. we think the pilolts gathered all the ahi up and kept them in their school. we went from 180 nauti out to 12 more hours out to a bouy. we get there early morning with hopes to clean house. nothin there either. after 5 days and no fish, we go back to the sea mount we fish all mornin and day with no fish till 5 pm we load up with maybe 1000 lbs. depressed we head back with 18 hour ride ahead of us. seas were pretty rough for the 42 foot but it rides great. a few times gettin thrown up out of the bunk. autumn was supoosed to be here monday and cancelled the flight cause i called her satlite phone to tell her the fish werent there and i wouldnt be in till today. she changed the flight to friday 320. cant wait to see her.
im skippin the next trip to pick her up. im at my caps house now, hes selling me his volkswagon bus, if i could have anything here to cruise in, it would be that. were startin her up tomotto and ill be gettin her tuned up.
