9/23 W. Newport report

Caught bait early morning in very dirty bay water. Fished the beach for one bite. The water was very clear at the beach, too clear for good fishing. The one bite was when I was talking to a guy going out surfing. I interupted our conversation to land this 27" fish. Tons of smelt in the water. More than normal.

Dude that's AWESOME! I've been fishing north of huntington....I think its time to get my gear down south :P Congrats on the keeper
