Question?

What is the most important thing to you in regards to reading a surf fishing report?

Personally, I like to read about the conditions. General location and fish count are by far second to me. I like to know about the wind, water quality, surf etc. This more than anything dictates when and where I'm fishing.

I'm more for what worked in what colors and rigging/presentation styles. Always looking for new info in this regard.

Re: Question?

Date, time, fish caught, water conditions (ie. clarity temp, glass, ect ), methods used/tackel, and some type insightful observation….. photos are always a plus too.

Re: Question?

Rigs and color of baits or grubs is a Constant or at least it has been for me. You have to have lived in a CAVE not to know by now Gulp CAMO or MORF Grubs. In fact I have caught them equally well on 4 colors of Gulp and 3 of grubs. Also in HUGE BREAKS and confused seas to ankle biters. Bring your bag of tricks and see what works. That is what makes it so much fun isn't it? 99% of the guys who don't catch them are casting like guys Bluefishing in the eastern shores. Half of my fish are caught 20 feet from my legs. Corbs even closer.

Re: Question?

Tide, wave height, current, debres, wind, water temperature, weather conditions and if there are signs of sandcrabs in the sand and baitfish in the water.
