9/11 C-Bad Flatties, WSB + pics

Fished C-Bad lagoon with Reid yesterday. We were going to fish a few hidden areas but it looked good at a usual spot so we fished it. Flattie set up. Carolina rig, ringed #4 Owner, 10lb flouro leader.

First we had O-Side bait receiver pass us some bait from the shore trolley thing, $5 + tip. Big Dines. We split them up into 2 buckets with aerators. When we got to our spot one of the buckets rolled and only had 4 live pieces left. The other bucket was fine.

I set 2 rigs up one for Spotfins with mussel and the other with Dine for Flatties, I need ghost shrimp pump.. I caught 4 little baby Sandies back to back in about 15 minutes so I put theCroaker set up away. I did not want to hurt them.

Reid got allot of bites and those darn big Dines are really hard to hook lagoon fish on. He pinned this short WSB.

We ran out of Dine so me made all the Smelt we needed. He got this one on a Smelt, 26".

I spiked my rod in a rock to take a pic of his Flattie with my phone. We look over and my rod is doubled over and line is ripping off my reel. I grab the rod it takes some line. It swims at me in flutter mode he turns to take more line and he un buttons. Felt really nice with head shakes.

He backs it up with a good one that needed a gaff. Gnarly ledge where he hooked this one. Ate a Smelt.
