My daughter woke me up early sunday morning to remind me of the promise i made to her to take her out feeshing. oh man was i hungover, lol,.. but a couple of advils and some water i shook it off and hit the road. we went to San Pedro for some ghost shrimp, her favorite bait. I decided to hit up Santa Monica, haven't been their for a long time! hit the 110 to the 405 yada yada yada, Cirque du Solei just opened up over the weekend and man was parking crazy. forget it, so we went more up north to Sunset. Pulled into Gladstones cause she needed to use the restroom, i looked around the beach, not bad, lets set up here. feeshing was great when i got an open pocket to fish in, lots of salad in the water! tons of it, broke a rod when i got stuck in the weeds, my wifes favorite rod too, lol,.. my little girl had to remind me! so during those times we had to wait for a hole to be clear we just swam around in the water and made sand castles or pics in the sand with our fingers. i am so glad we got to spend time together, lately it hasn't been the case as she is going to school and i work nights, so during the day i'm asleep and hardly get to talk to her. While we were drawing pics she updated me on all her school work and friends, how she is learning new prayers, can spell and read without a problem for her age. reading books on her own you know. they grow up so fast, but she'll always be my little princess. we ended the day just sitting on the rocks watching the surfers gliding on the waves. She is now interested in learning to surf, i just want her to wait just a little bit before taking that step, but you never know how fast that day will come when she is gliding with the waves.
