Question? St. Croix 7' surf Rod

I'm looking to upgrade my surf rod. I'm useing a cheap Shamino 2 pc 6'6" rod currently. Ive been looking at the St. Croix 7' surf rod, rated at 6-10#'s. My shamino is a little flimsy, I'm looking for a faster stiffer action. The St. Croix keeps poping up on all of my Internet searches.

Can anyone tell me about these rods? Do you have one or heard any info on them. I can't find one in SD to have a look for myself. I will have to order it online. I would apreachate any input before I shell out 130.00 bucks + shipping.
