Imperial Beach Perchin

Just wanted to report from south of the IB pier between 7am and 11am where the waves were huge, water was warm, not too much salad, and there were all the BSP you can handle. Not very big but they were all fun, me and wifey totaled around 15 or so topping out at 8 inches. We were using 2" morf grubs, and 4" morf gulp sand worms.
Still new to the surf fishing scene, love it love it love it!!! Cant wait to start realin in bigger and beter fish.

The Dinosaur cage always does it for us in the winter. Just look for the holes were the waves aren't breaking. (Riptides) Corvina or some here call them corbina.. Whatever, Good Luck!

i am assuming you mean the giant circular contraption north of the pier around the strand area? if so i thought that area was off limits?

Last year I was stopped by a warden in IB, we started chattin and said some good size perch were caught there. I was catching them on the jetty. I dont think its off limits, just stay on the beach.
