Fishing Report Cranking for Butts

Headed out to HB at sunrise..



Got the surfer thing out of the way..Good morning "John"



He was flipping this guy off



Got soaked no love.. packed up and headed to SB..

SB conditions were nice..clean water.. warm..bait was getting worked, little swell..

Did not see any beans...Did not matter I was targeting butts.

First was this little guy.. Good thing no skunkage..






Then his twin



Needlage, a first for me surf fishing..






Last one a little larger model than the first two..My PB from the surf..






Missed a couple more on short strikes..Threw cranks that Capt. G gave me, All fish caught on the one in the pics..Thanks Dude!

the lucky craft is a bad ass lure. i've yet to try it in the surf. nice!

Getting bigger.
It is just a matter of time before you score a legal butt from the surf.
If the bait is in the surf zone, the halibut will be there also.
Wait 'till you hook an 18 pounder in the surf--lots of fun on a light rod.

Yes Sensei! I will follow your teachings with honor..I shall still throw the baits you gave me..I will reel them in with honor...If an 18lbr comes it will become sushi....I will take pics of that as well..
