Fished the spot again this morning with the mystery man. We where both there before sunup. Conditions where, incomming tide, clear sky, clear clean water. Mystery man got a YFC and a smoothhound before hooking the right kind. Looked to be about a 17" corb.
About 30 min or so later the mystery man is on again. Better fish this time. turned out to be a better grade corb. Believe it taped at 20". Here it is
We continued fishing thru the tide. All I had to show for my mornings effert was a nice smoothound and a YFC. tough bite this morning. Fainaly at around 7:30am I get a ripper bit and the drag starts screaming. i run and grap the rod and the fight is on. After a tough 15 min battle this 21"er slides up the sand.
Wheew, thought I was going to be corbless for the morning. Fish was released and we both fished untill 8:30am but had no other action and then we had to leave. Another fun morning on the sand.
