Lately I could just copy and paste my past three reports.

Same as Friday-

1-bean ( about 20" ) on SC*
6-medium BSP

* So ya know how the perch tear up your crab and eat all the roe and the back half of the crab. This morning crabs were really hard to come by. So I had one of those picked apart crabs and couldent find a new one so I threw him back out. Wouldent ya know thats the one the Bean hit!!

Great tide, water super warm, no salad. Looking forward to next weeks early (-) tide and no people on the beach early.

yeah, we fished PM the night before (sat) up that direction, same sort of report, no problem finding sand crabs on the bottom or the top of the tide (few of size to be found during the middle):

couple of small beans, 7 or 8 surf perch, couple of small leopard sharks (12-14"), a shovelnose shark .... there were 2 1/2 of us fishing.... 1/2 being that I spent most of my time diggin bait and keeping my 8 year old in the water on his first true surf fishing expedition with the "boys" ...

highlight of night: my son catching his first two surf perch, and seeing that big goofy toothy grin of his as he fought his first fish caught in the surf ....

Just walked in the door from fishing N. Carlsbad. Water was nice and warm, but SC's were not as plentiful. Found some bitchin' holes, nobody home. Too many touristas flopping around the sweet spots. Didn't even spot a single bean. Maybe tomorrow a.m.
