HH big bean!!!!!

Started the day at about 2:00 on the incoming tide to target bass and halibut. Tried to catch some bait with no luck so we opted to fish with plastics. The bite didint start picking up until around 4:00 and then it was wide open. We were catching nothing but bass after bass. Alot of nice chunky spotties and the occasional sandie. No luck on the butts for some reason. we caught nothing in the main channel. All the fish seemed to be hugged up in the salad.
I make a cast about ten feet away from the shore and hook into what i thought was going to be another spottie, wrong!!!! I was fishing with a Gulp jerk shad and ended up with my pb bean. The fish went 23in. 4lb. 4oz. It was definetly a surprise catch. All in all ended the day with about 15 spotties and a nice bean.

Its a corbina rob. You usally catch them along the beaches in the surf on sandcrabs. But sometimes they will hit lures. not very often though.

If you ever try for them fish with 6# carolina rigged with a live sand crab. sunset beach or the doggie beach are descent spots for them. And even seal beach is a good spot.
