late report thresher off the pier in central coast

went out 4th of july weekend and landed this t-shark on a chunk of mackeral on a special rig on a AVET LX 6.0:1 HS AND A 12FT ROD. it was 7ft 8in wieght i dont know. i will give more details later really busy.... oh and a nice flattie

That is great.My uncle caught one that went #110 off of Belmont Pier in the early 70's.Nice job and how did you get it up to the pier?

Heard they were in up there and recognized the coastline. Good job on that catch. They truly are one of the funnest fish on our coast.

Damn man, you dont catch those off the oceanside pier that for sure. All were getting is the occasional leopard shark, bvlack sea bass and shovel nose.
That is kick ass man, what pound test were you using? cause that mother had to have run you ragged by the time you landed him.

i put 300yds of 65lb spectra and about 300 of top shot 30lb mono on a AVET LX, my leader was 150lb.. i wonder y you guys dont get them in o-side i would think they would....
