I had images of corbs cruising the skinny in my head while sleeping last night so I decided to give it a go one more time at spot "X" this morning since I still had a bucket of SC left over from yesterdays session. Got up at 4:30am and got my morning cup of coffee and headed to spot "X". Arrived at the spot at sunrise and ran to the beach as I new it was going to get tougher and tougher to catch the beans as the sun rose. first cast out and tap tap and ZZZZZ !!. Didn't feel like a tanker though and after a quick fight a nice little 17" corb slides up on the beach.

Re-rigged and cast out a few times and then I feel the tap tap again and ZZZZZZ she's on. another short fight and a 18" slides up on the beach.

Sweet, two corbs in 20 min but things where different at the spot today. The smaller corbs should have been a tip as I only saw 1 corb in the skinny all morning. Water was stained and the floating kelp was mostly gone. Just kept pitching the SC's to the spots we've been seeing the corbs cruising and the method was working. at around 7:30am I feel the all to familiar tap, tap again and ZZZZZ I'm off to the races. Better fish this time and he dogs me in the current for a bit before giving up and slidding up the sand to get his picture taken. turned out to be a 22".

Dang their getting bigger and bigger!!! Was running out of time and I still hadn't seen a corb in the skinny so I pitched a SC out a bit further than usual. Tossed it right on the edge of a rip/swirl in the water and about 5 min later I get bit, tap tap and ZZZZZZZZ. Way better fish this time. worked him into the skinny and was finaly able to slid my fourth corb of the morning up onto the sand. Turned out to be the biggest of the morning, another 24"

Had to jam after that but it was another great morning of fishing spot "X". No other anglers around me all morning either. Going to take a few days off from the spot and hopefully it will still stay low key and the corbs can settle back in again.
tight lines,
B
