Mike Freeman may be the biggest sports idiot I've ever seen:
New York Giants, Ben Roethlisberger, Eli Manning, Nate Kaeding, National Football League, San Diego Chargers - CBSSports.com

Re: This could be the worst sports article I've ever read.

wow, ok, definitely not going to judge you on your opinion Steve. But Merriman, Nate, and Rivers are worse to have than just Eli?
Funny also how the GM of the Giants says, statistics don't matter for a QB. Obviously someone with as crappy stats as their QB would say something like that.
Just my $.02

Mike, it's just someones opinion and a sports writer analyzed it and once again it's just an opinion...not a big deal IMO.

Like the new Avatar Saluki, and Steve, you are correct, it's just an opinion. Just thought I'd share it with the group. I've read some of the stuff this guy writes, and it's almost comical, but again, just opionions. He's really got it out for the Chargers.
I wish Eli all the luck on Sunday, but would still want Rivers at the trigger on my team.

Well, Rivers has alot more weapons than Eli, but hasn't taken the Chargers to the big game yet. I'd have to say, as much as I hate him, Eli is the frontrunner right now....

Of course, Big Ben has taken his team there, and they won it......

Re: This could be the worst sports article I've ever read.

Uh some of you guys are smoking something....

Phillip Rivers is 28-9 lifetime as a starter, has started only 2 yrs, and has tremendous upside. Merriman is a force at LB. Kaeding is one of the most consistent kickers in the NFL (look at his #'s). Eli hasn't done that much until this years playoffs. It took Eli on his 4th year of being a starting QB to get his act together in the playoffs....Lets see what Phillip Rivers does in yrs 3 and 4 as a starter. Come back to me in 5-6 yrs and then evaluate the trade.
