Re: Philip Leaf?

When we're booing him I'd rather have him yell back than wear that BIG Shit eating grin that he has sometimes, you know the one that Calico almost killed him over... I like emotion and every time Norv yells (he's been doing it alot more lately) I get a boner.

Rivers is an ok quarterback. He's still young and has aways to go in his career. Not everyone can be a Brady or Farvrerere out of the box. Given some good pass protection and good play calling I think Rivers could be a force to reckoned with in a few years.
The biggest problem with the Chargers organization is AJ Smith...
My sentiments exactly.

Good qbs are raised or born, the later being the exception. If you are born a qb you have tons of ability a la Favre and rely mostly on talent to perform. These qbs usually perform good on a scramble. Favre has the worst mechanics of any qb, ever.

Raised qbs rely mostly on mechanics, a la Marino. They are usually pocket passers that have to go through the motions, be it a 3 step or a 5 step drop-back and step into the throw.

Rivers is a raised qb in the maturing process. If you compare his performance this season to last, his mechanics have gone to hell, with his accuracy as well. He was taken off a system he was starting to master into a new one which he has not. If he looks sort off lost out there is b/c he is.

Re: Philip Leaf?

First of all Saluki Your GAY!!! Second Everyone is to hard on Rivers. I know his #'s are not great right now, and I don't make excuses for my team. He's in his 2nd (starting season) and he aswell as the whole team are in a funk right now. He will come out of it and then start doing good and most people will love him. He's a gamer to the end every game. I don't see him giving up. To all Charger Haters GO GET F***ED. Nobody want's to hear your crap against our team.

Re: Philip Leaf?

He does look alot like Ryan "the d-bag" Leaf...I just think he's a been acting a little too much like Leaf...you are sucking right now and thats fine, everyone sucks from time to time. But you dont cry or smile about it you shut your face and work twice as hard as u have been and dont make the same mistakes again. I am hopefull that he is gettin things together and we keep winning but there is no excuse for us to be 6-5...10-2 sure 17 turnovers? Thats the bottom line! Cut that number in half and u can cut our losses in half!
