| Today's NFL draft...
I was looking forward to today's NFL draft, but have to admit after watching it, it was pretty boring...I should've went fishing.
As for the Chargers....After taking LSU receiver Craig Davis with the 30th pick in the first round, they traded with the Chicago Bears to acquire the 37th pick and selected Utah safety Eric Weddle. What was AJ Smith thinking here???...he traded a 2nd, a 3rd and 5th of this yrs draft plus a 3rd in the 2008 draft. So basically 4 picks to get Weddle? Dont get me wrong, normally I like AJ's moves, but I question this one big time. SignOnSanDiego.com > San Diego Chargers -- Chargers get safety Weddle by trading up in 2nd round

My niners got two in the first, none in the second four in the 4th, and I think two in the third. We got a great WR and our O just got better, though with our rushing last year wasnt much to fix and our D just got bigger.

Nolan has the team looking really sweet right now...The o line is coming together and now with thhis new stud at linebacker to go with Lawson seems that the Niners might be on the verge...As with any team these days, no injuries, no injuries...

Against San Diego St. he dominated them scoring 3 TD, two on offense, one on defense. This guy is that good.
P.S. Just read the articles you posted. Weddle on schooling Calvin Johnson:
"So half the game I knew what he was going to do before he did it, and I was just breaking on the routes. No disrespect to their team, but the times they threw to him I was just breaking on the ball."
Sorry, but he held Calvin Johnson to 19 yards. I'd say that was disrespect. It was great as there was this GT booster sitting right behind us talking up Calvin Johnson the whole game. I finally turned around and said "sorry, but boy was owned by Weddle tonight."

Mike,
Even though I hate the Chargers, I have to say, they are pretty stacked. the roster may only have a couple of open slots, so why keep all those picks, if they are going to get cut anyway?????
Might as well trade them......
As for the Burgh, it was also quite boring. I should have gone fising too..... |
