Long time Angel fan here, just hate when I hear about the BS.
Back in 86, 9th inning, everyone standing in their seats (I was by the left field foul pole, 3 rows back.
BIG drunk in front of me loses his balance when he was getting pissy (I was in BOSOX territory) and falls backwards over the back of the seat, pinning me between the seats and the concrete. The bitch about it?? NO ONE NOTICED, no one helped me, the guy was too drunk to move or try to get up.
Finally, some guy spotted the situation from a row or two back and came to help, prying the guy off me and the ground. Ugly name calling all around at those games. As we all know, it was the ultimate reason for Donnie ending his life.
I had massive bruises the next day as you could imagine. | Leave Mike Witt in.

I remember Rox, 1 pitch away. When they played football there, the stands were filled with KC fans or Green Bay fans. I usually see a lot of opposing team jerseys in the stands baseball or football in the past. Never a problem, it isn't the Raiders. JK raiders fans. I don't get it, oh I'll poke at your team, but to let it go so far as to fight about it, nope way too far. Pre playoffs those guys are the first ones to leave in the 7th, wanna beat the traffic. Aholes screw it up for everyone, eventually they will cut off beer sales after the 3rd inning.
And why post this question to Saluki he's a Cubs fan?

Granted, I've never been to Fenway or Yankee Stadium during a Sox/Yanks game where I'm sure it's more heated, but still, it's baseball and it's fun, win or lose |
Exactly.
I talk shit to all my friends from Boston, and/or Boston fans. But I never make it personal or try and start a fight with a Boston fan. Jeez.
Like you say, back and forth, good game.
I wish the Yanks were playing you guys, I look forward to that every fall. Oh well.
Good luck against the halos.

Angel fans are weak they act like the world series is already locked up. There are always a few assholes at every game, but to take it to that level is uncalled for. I hope that the Sox kick their sorry asses and play the Dodgers in the series. It would be sweet for Manny to come back and win one in Fenway. GO DODGERS......

People...It's the PLAYOFFS.
Regular Angel "Fans" sell their tix to brokers, craigslist, ebay and you get a bunch of porch monkeys jumpin' on the bandwagon at these games.
Most of the ushers are AARP veterans and aren't about to say anything to anyone

Boston fans in general are loud, obnoxious douche bags. One incident at an Angel game, oh well. Try being an Angel fan going to Fenway. I'm sure all the loving Boston fans will treat them nice.
Go Dodgers(since the padres suck)

You're right, Boston has such gracious fans.
I'm sure if I wore an Angel's jersey at Fenway the fans would be thrilled to see me.

I agree the point it's gotten to with fans at sports events is ridiculous... but it happens at EVERY stadium... you could enter any team name where you put "Angels" and it would apply equally.

I also attend several Angel games per year... they are my American League favorite..... only to come in 2nd against the Cubs in the World Series... which I predicted in a thread here on BD back last Feb.
Yo Corb........ maybe next time bring brudda Ron in his 8" fro & Raider Gear.... that should elimate the chances of you becoming an Asshole Magnet at the ballpark. |
