Ugg, temps were about 53 under water, but a bitchin' 73 above water!!! At least I warmed up on top. Had a competition dive today, so I showed up late. Oopsie!!

Anyway, if you like surf fishing, conditions there were nice. Vis was not too good, top spots had 5-8feet. Best vis was in 30ft of water. Saw a few bugs, saw the biggest octopus I have ever seen. The head alone was the size of a basketball!! I was on my way up for air, and he was way back in a hole when I went down again. BUMMER. Shot a 12lb sheephead, not a bad fish for those conditions. A few bigger bass, and lots of brown rockfish in 20-40ft of water. I did not see much in the way of lobster, other than one commercial trap had like 20 in it. But go figure, the trap was in the sand, nowhere near a reef that I could see. I am almost willing to run the gauntlet to get to some warmer water. This cold stuff SUCKS.
