spent the day tuesday doing a little freediving with some of my buds. started the day off with a stiff ass south wind coming dead into south pass but we pressed on into a 3-4 with an occasional 5 footer putting the glacier bay in the air a few times. arrived a cognac to fing blue water but no fishy. moved on another 25 miles or so to a drill ship in 3000ft and hit the mother load. there were so many dolphin that you couldn't figure out which one to shoot! ended up with 15 from 10lbs to 30lbs. had a great day and headed back out saturday to do it again! also had a 70-80lb yellowfin come up but i didn't have my damn buoy system rigged up
otherwise he would have been fucked! guns of choice mares 1100, jbl gulf hunter and also a riffe. this is a great time to get out in the gulf so get ya some!
