Re: Does anyone know a cheap place to get a dive cert?

study your dive tables and if you go cheap never go below 60 ft. 60 approx 60 min bottom time al-80 and basically same steal-72. remember, multipule dives in a day compound and will even make shallow dives after the firts one, will require decompression. There are many things to learn. There are things you must not do, dont skimp or take short cuts. Had a friend die cause he thought he could just do it. Got nitrogen narcosis and would not come up. Good luck it a great world down there shootin instead of hookin.

Yep, go cheap, study at home, and move on. Your initial cert is a joke and mainly a way for the industry to make some cash. Don't be an idiot, dive safe, and remember,, those tanks only hold so much air and shit breaks.

BTW, a lot more people die diving than you will likely ever hear about. Don't be stupid.

Unless you have gills. If you do, then rock on.

Very serious... I kid you not most open water courses cost about $300. However, some are up in the $400+ range. Bullshit of all bullshit.
