Someone told me your not allowed to dive in SD Bay because it was protected. I figured if you could fish, you should be able to dive for lobsters. Can anyone verify?

You can dive the southside of Zuniga Jetty, but for what after they found out the military based leaked 250 million gallons of raw sewage into the bay for the last 5 years I would not eat anything from that bay:_diarrhea |

I pretty sure mission is okay to dive, but the navy doesnt want divers in sd for obvious reasons.

Wow, the "spill" is up to 250 million gallons now! I wonder how long it will be before it hits 500 million...funny thing, the bay has much more monitoring going on now than ever before and the environmental folks that keep track of this stuff gave SD bay an excellent score this past year when all of this sewage was supposedly "spoiling" the bay.
BTW - Here is a link to the 10 million gallon spill... SignOnSanDiego.com > News > Metro -- Navy sewage flowed to bay since '04 |

Jason, try diving under the bait barge in Quivira. There must be some big lunkers down there.
