Lobster Dive South Oc -
While tearing some rocks apart grabbing bugs I look up -
About a 40 - 50 lb White Sea Bass just sitting there looking at me
I am on Scuba with no gun
He hung for a min and took off
On the inside the weirdest fucking ray I have ever seen comes right up at me, big fucker about a three foot wingspan -
I recognize it Electric Ray
Went into Jesus mode and tried walking on water - those things give a nasty jolt
Late
Dave

I was on scuba a few days ago and saw two seabass as well. I know you're not supposed to see them blowin bubbles, but a few big ones every year get shot on tanks.
went back out there today freediving and didn't see anything.go figure.

A couple weeks ago during a night dive a 5 foot #100 gill shark, atleast thats what Ive been told,it was light grey and splotchy, anyway it spooked the fuck out of me and two buddys.
It came in and slowly circled around us for about 30 seconds before it went on its way.

I have been hit by an electric ray before. And it almost cost me my life...
Be careful of those suckers, they are fearless of anything and will come right up to you. And if you piss it off the damn thing will give you the jolt of your life.

Shit ? I NEVER heard of them before......I avoid all rays at all costs. To be EXTRA safe, I will carry my multimeter from now on and check for stray voltage in the area and polarity.
I thought sharks and SWB were my only concerns........What little I know
