I personally find the best time to be between 9 am and 8 pm weekdays, and noon to 11 on weekends.
if you miss those hours you kinda have to break the glass doors to get to the lobster tanks....

7:30 to 9:30 i when I have my best luck but you never know theyll crawl when they want
full moons suck for hooping
when there is more current there seems to be a much better crawl
imo bigger lobsters seem to come out later

WE WERE OUT TILL 10 PM SATERDAY NIGHT AND GOT ONE LEGAL AND 5 SHORTS, MY BROTHER CAUGHT THE KEEPER DIVEING AND THE VISABUILITY WAS ABOUT 2-3 FEET.

Full moon sucks for lobster diving!
Went out this weekend and dove catalina during the full moon to get about 8 lobster for 3 people. However, two of them were BIG. One went 5.4lbs and the other went 5.3lbs. The spot we hit up usually produces limits for us. So it must have been the full moon. There was simply too much light. I could see fish, reefs, kelp, without my divelight.
