Anyone else SUCKING this season?

Well maybe not so much sucking, bet EVERY fucking dive I have done the vis. has been dismal. Stayed shallow, all freediving, but damn, this has been the worst conditions in the begginning of a season I can remember. I dont know, maybe Im just picking bad nights.

I don't dive much, but hooping has been really slow!! Almost shitty.

Sorry for your luck. Me too!!!! I've been diving 4 times this season around the Dana Point area for bugs and I'm 0-4. Shitty viz with many bugs but ALL short. Need to find a honey hole.

been diving and the season has been pretty good. I will say that I have been diving from spots that I have passed up on for the past several years. Avoided all of La Jolla, and the larger bugs seem not to be in their usual spots. Check the deeper spots on the reefs and away from large high spots as everyone else has hit those areas already.

Been pretty good for me so far but I am a green hooper so I dont have much to base it on. But I learn from the best.

I went out yesterday in crystal cove and the vis rocked it was like 25 ft. The only problem was that there weren't a ton of fish around. Try to go during high tides its usually the best vis.

Dude, check out the clorphyl on the sst,s. Its been high along the coastline now for quite some time now.
Ive been out a few times with not so great results.Ive had to abort my dive a few times now because of the vis.
Although wednesday night(10-15-08) I managed 2 keepers, the vis was still on the crappy side about 5 ft. but the friendly surge made it doable.
Ive been out about 10 times this season and Ive only totalled about 11 or 12 so far.

P.S. Had new york steak and lobster friday night

Went out season opener n' only grabbed one.

Went out two days later and took home 5.

Three days later i severely sprained my ankle.

2 and a half weeks later, I'm still on crutches and right about now I'd really want to get back in the water!

Count your blessings man!
