I have a Shimano Symmetre 2500 and recently broke it down far enough to clean and grease the gears. When I put it back together the anti-reverse does not work. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Is it possible you put the anti reverse in backwards? But then if it is backwards it wont go forwards. Maybe too much lube or grease on the anti reverse! Wipe some off and reinstall. I am sure Mr. T may chime in soon and help.

Take out the anti reverse bearing. Spray it out with carb cleaner and let it dry. Don't blow compressed air into it. Re-oil it with two or three drops of oil and reinstall it. If this doesn't work, replace it. Good luck.
I did my Sienna 2500, took it apart, cleaned and lubed. Put the ARB in upside down, handle spun in both directions. Took it apart and put the bearing back in correctly
