hey there fellow steel throwers whats the benefits to either one of these or what is better wood or metal spearguns?

Aluminum is no doubt a cheaper material than wood. So an Al gun will cost you less to build.

I personally like wood guns better. Much more classy and seems less noisy in the water too.

oh i love the carbon but assumed it would have been put in the same class as the metal series... how does carbon compare and do the guns really make that much noise?

I've got a riffe metal tech. As stated in Riffe's catalog it is the more economical option for someone looking for a mid handle style speargun. Had I had more dough i would have elected for the teak no doubt. Plus the teak guns float!

I have the Riffe Island Teak gun and with the shaft in it, sinks, shaft out, floats. Like the way the wood looks over metal, but some of the new guns are cool too. Kind of a personnel opinion thing.
