how to replace bands

hi all, its time for me to replace the bands on my riffe gun, i already have extra rubber, any tricks to sliding the dacron up the center or tieing it off so it does not slip?? i have never done it before
any help or guidance here is appreciated

yea if you search you can probably find it , i tie the double constrictor knot

after you clinch it down i tie a couple over hand knots and its good ,havnt had one slip on me yet
and as for the dacron i use wiping twine you can find it at and west marine try to get the thick stuff

Try using a over hand or a figure eight for the wishbone string, flat braded waxed nylon twine for the cinching start with a clover hitch followed by about ten over hand knots a little heat on the waxed nylon seals the deal.
