95% of kills are at the surface; as visibility decreases - chances of human strike increase exponentially; same with breeding time (late fall, I believe).

Of course, there are tons of those
"I saw one that HAD to be 25'-long" stories out there, but the fact is there is ZERO evidence of any over that 21' mark. See this link for more info: Largest Ocean Carnivore |

Lesson: Don't be treading water off the swimstep, after a storm, while hunting your Christmas bugs. | I knew him, Jimmy Robinson. We went to commercial dive school together at Santa barbara CC. He had just entered the water and was waiting for his tender to give him the collection bags when the fish took his left leg completely off and half the right in one bite. Never knew what hit him. He bled out almost before he could be hauled onto deck. Needless to say, the tender was completely freaked out. He had to stay with the body 4 hours until USCG got there and then had to drive the boat back to SB. |

Some of those Pointers in the Southern Ocean. Are Way Over 25 ft long.
I saw one Photo. Taken on Whale Mothership, Flensing deck.
Whale just winched up slipway. Out of shark's mouths.
One Bite. Had 4 full grown men standing in it.
Genuine too. Not Mockup. They still had tools in hands, and blood everywhere.
They reckon Pointers stay coastal till about 20ft or so. Then go Oceanic.
Don't forget. They never stop moving. AND. They never stop growing either...
Some of those sharks were near as big as the whales..
