News just shy of austins record...

went out with a buddy to malibu today he comes up with a pretty decent sheep says that if i break open some urchins they will come, i go down to find some urchin i look up and this guy starts swimming away from me, i wait and wait and right before he is out of range he gives me a nice little look, popped him, he spun a couple times then took off took some float line then tangled up in the kelp, mike helped me out.

When i first saw him i thought he was 10 15 pounds maybe but once i really saw him knew he was bigger, got him home measured 34 almost 35 inches, and weighed out at 25 pounds, my biggest, and just a little shy of austins record

Re: just shy of austins record...

Good fish, Joey! I have seen a 30+lber at a particular reef in PV. Only a matter of time before I land him and shatter both of your records.
