Nor cal abalone limits

Just got back from my annual ab trip to medocino county, conditions were awsome 10-15 foot vis, flat, and water was not that cold. Got limits both days abs were all 8 1/2 - 8 3/4 inches not monsters but nice legals. Did not see that many divers given how good the conditions were. To all divers out there I highly recomend making a trip its cool to see how southern california used to be 100 years ago. There all Abalone everywhere up there its possible to get a limit on a single breath hold. Season is open for another month and a half. Iam suprised that there are not more dive reports coming from that area. If anybody on the board has questions send me a pm and i will point you in the right direction. Go get em, Taylor

Re: Nor cal abalone limits

Love diving that place . No crowds, no kooks hope it stays that way as long as possible. You'd be surprised at how the abs are making a comeback in some areas SC.....nothing like it use to be tho..
Thanks for the report.

Damn Taylor, you are living the life. Elk hunting, spear fishing, bug diving, etc... I hope you are throwing some getting laid in there as well. Enjoy it while you can.
