Re: spear gun

I might have a few laying around, let me check. The best guns for the money and to get started in diving here would be in the 4ft. shaft length, or 90cm. Try www.hammerheadmuzzles.com or Aimrite.com . Kevin at Hammerhead is a good friend, and I believe I have one of his guns here you can try out.

Re: spear gun

How about the rest of your gear? Do you already have all of the gear aside from the speargun? Will you be freediving or SCUBA? (Makes a difference, especially in what type of gear you will be buying).
If you do not already have gear, do not go out and just buy stuff. You want the right gear for your purpose from the start.

I need a gun to as I am a newbie using a sling. Let me know if anyone wants to get rid of one also.

Re: spear gun

captain, you don't need a weightbelt unless your in a suit.
I use boardies, and when I point down I shoot straight to the bottom

Suit (optional), Long bladed freediving fins, Low-volume mask, simple j-tube snorkel, knife, rubber weight belt with weights, aim for smaller weights in the 2lb size, enables for better tuning (want to be neutral at about 15-20ft).
